I'm from London, Ontario, Canada and I'm in desperate need of a part for my 1965 Ford Country Sedan. If anyone is scraping a 65 - 68 full sized Ford wagon, I need the rubber strips and end caps from the tailgate window. As long as they're not torn or ripped, they will work. Ths is the worst part on my wagon. Mine are badly torn, about 3/4 of their length. Stormin' Norman Hi, Norm; Thank you for your quick reply. It's nice to know my cry for help was heard. I've sent an email to Clester's and am awaiting a reply. I've tried all the major repo rubber suppliers to no avail. Also, I've been in contact with a fellow '65 owner, out in CA, who indicated this part is no longer avalible from anyone. I'm begining to believe him. I think the only way I'll get this part is used, which is fine with me, as long as it is in good usable condition. repo rubber After a rather lengthy search for my tailgate window rubber, I'm extremely surprised no one is into reproducing this part. It seems to me, after seeing a number of postings by others in search of this part, that I'm not alone in my quest. If there are others on this forum in the same boat, I'd like to hear from you. Perhaps, there is strength in numbers. If companies like, SoffSeal and Metro Rubber recieved enough requests, they might consider making such items. What do you think? Please, let me know. Baxter, I sent you a PM but I will also post here for others who are looking for the same parts in the future. I sent all of my seals for the rear gate to http://www.restorationspecialties.com./ located in Windber, PA As for jeff and they will be able to make you what you need. I picked up the seals for all of my doors from them too. No one is making any repo parts for the wagons. I found that out the same way you did! From the rear doors forward, the Country wagons are the same as the Galaxie. I think 65-66 are very similar. Good luck.
Restoration Rubber parts for most vehicles Thanks to Dr. Smith, I contacted Jeff c/o Restoration Specialties, who assures me they can make the tailgate rubber parts I need for my '65 Ford Country Sedan. One must be aware, however, they request the damaged part to replicate it. I, also, ordered a catalogue, so I can see the entire range of products they offer. It can be seen on the website, but I like to sit and browse, at my leisure. Again, thanks to Dr. Smith for coming to my rescue. Russ
