Yeah, and those crooks would've gotten away if it hadn't been for those dang cardboard boxes getting in the way. :rofl2:

I'm sorry, but that wasn't that Torino's best showing on film, looked like that old Econoline van handled better...until it came up against that impenetrable box blockade. :character0182:

Well, the van probably had shag carpeting, which greatly improves handling.

Yep. Racing engines, screaching tires, blaring sirens but nothing, I say, nothing beats the car chase soundtrack music. Pure '70s! :character0182::band::victory:

Can't say I was a big Starsky & Hutch watcher......

The chases were typically run-of-the-mill, and filled with continuity errors.
And don't get me started on the Torino...... Living in the L.A. area at the time, you started seeing all these red Torinos with big honkin' white stripes all over the place. The local production paint shops were becoming real adept at churning them out. Heck, you started seeing Malibus, Cutlasses and other cars painted to match. Even Ford themselves came out with an actual S&H option package!

Now, if you were a real undercover cop, would you drive around in something like that?

Why are two half dead guys stealing bags of cement that you could probably buy for $0.50 a bag back then?

I had to find out what the deal was.

    Season 4 Episode 5

"The duo go in search of moonshiners who have been stealing vast amounts of sugar, but unfortunately two of the hillbillies die from drinking bad liquor."

...so it wasn't those nasty boxes???:49:

There was a nice wagon in there. I don't believe they connected though. :)

I thought the movie made a mockery of the show, and it was really bad that Snoop Dogg was in it ( I can't stand him), but they did have some pretty shots of the car.

Yeah. Sure. 'Moonshiners' were quite prevalent in Southern California during the 70's............

It MUST have been! After all, one of the calls on "Emergency!" was to a fire at a horse ranch and the ranch hand 's still blew up! Maybe more of it than we thought! LOL Besides, it makes for 'good' t.v.
