So. Progress is good. I didnt want to give away all the fun stuff that was going into the wagon yet but i cannot resist...So I am having a 383 built with TH 350 with shift kit, and posi rear end installed in the wagon on the 5th. I am so damn excited. Anyone want my 307/trans? It has 140k and purrs...I'd take $300 from a forum member for it all?

Yesterday my interior guy came and took out the headliner..so he can redo it in chocolate brown suede with the 3D flames in it...wow this wagon is going to be nice...pics to come!!!

Is that a 383 Mopar engine?

I know how you feel. I've still got a few of those thrills to come with my own restoration! Good for you! ;)

Wouldn't fit your wagon? I know moving is expensive too. ;) Been there, done that. $12,000 from Guadalajara to here. That was the quote. We sold off most of it and the house, and loaded the two-deck trailer, the roof, and the wagon. Saved about $11,000. :)

I hate to say it but looks like my wagon will be history so we can move. I'll look for another one after we get moved. I'll look for a Ford this time since I will have a extra 302

another question- What do you think she's going to run in the 1/4 (just to get an idea?) with this setup? I've only driven a le mans that had a 383 and it was outragously fast/angry...i should be able to stomp honda kids with my eyes closed right? (not literally of course:p))

Never re-tooled a GM for hi-perf. Mopars were my bag, and a Turbo 180 HP Corvair. That's a whole lot of machining (thin walls) to get that. Never knew you could. Never did a Ford, either. Still lots to learn.

Take this licensed beetle with a Jet Engine for instance:  :rofl2:
