Hi everyone - Just picked up a 67 Coronet wagon and glad to be back in a wagon again. Have previously owned a 65 Coronet wagon (powered by a 470 engine - it ran 11.0's), and also had a turbo woody wagon. I've always had a thing for wagons. I guess it dates back to childhood when wagons were the SUV's of the day. Always loved hanging in the back watching the cars go by and sending sweet gestures to passersby along the way. Anyhow, my 67 is solid and powered by a 440 engine, auto and 3.91 sure grip. My plans are to give it a decent paintjob and bump up the ponies under the hood. I'll be sure to post progress along the way for any Mopar wagon aficionados.
Thanks and yes it will stay grandma gold. The underhood and jambs were redone now just gotta get some new paint on the rest.
Thank you. I like the steelies and dog dish look too. The wheels will get painted with the same color as the car though.
Nice Coronet. Is it gold or is it medium tan metallic. I like the medium tan metallic better than the gold and its not as frequently seen as gold. Whats the paint code on the fender tag?
Nice clean looking wagon. Are you able to get a few pictures of the interior? The motor looks very clean :2_thumbs_up_-_anima I think there was one or two Mopar guys here somewhere...lurking about They'll be around soon. Enjoy
Not sure, Ill have to check on that. Whatever it is, is was redone in the engine comp and jambs, so I'm going to match that. Fannie - I need to take some more pics.
Tony. Yah Fannie, Lurk lurk Lurk. We'z gotta say Hi to another serious Mopar Dude tho'! And why do you ask us how we knowz he'z serious? 'Cuz he'z talkin' Mopar when he say "Sure Grip" an not Posi Don't make one better'n the other nessessarily, but It'z all in knowin' the correct norminclature of the Mfgr!
Thanks and I would love to see a pic of the 61 Chrysler. That may be the coolest wagon body ever built!
Very cool Coronet! Nice to see some Ma' Mopar supporters on this fourm! Looks like a real killer of a truckster, and what a nice starting point! Kudos!
