i tried this earlier so lets see if i can do it now.
I love old wagons well about anything that has a motor and is cool.
I have a 61 chevy Parkwood that we are working on now.
All the mechanicals are done and it has new floors in it.
the body and the interior are still rough. we are trying to make it look like an old junior stock race car from the 60s that was found and drug out of hiding.
we are going to have fun with it this summer maybe we will get the paint and upholstery done this winter.
I will post a couple of pics
    283 three on the tree.

I found this forum purely by accident so I thought I would join.
I have been a member on the jalopy journal for years and have a thread going there on the wagon.
here is a link to it.

:Welcome:Nice start. Looks like a family project. And having a dog is a plus. Some members think a dog and a station wagon go together.

    :Welcome: aboard!
I always liked the '61 Chevy body style. Cool project. :thumbs2:

So you plan to turn it into a '60's super stock from back in the day?
A big block would go nice in there. 409's are way too expensive...and 348's are up there as well.

it is just going to have the look right now. Later on it will have a warmed up small block hopefully a 327 and an automatic so the wife can drive it then we can take both cars to the shows her in the wagon and me in the corvette

Yup, me too! Always loved the look of the '61's - my absolute favorite of the '61-'64 period. That side character line is just so unique.....

Welcome to the nuthouse we call Home! What a great wagon you have, too. The one thing I have never quite understood about the 61 wagons is why they only put a single tail lamp and back up lamp on each side, no matter the trim level. Personally, I would add the second to make it an "Impala" grade looking back, but then again, I am a bit 'odd'. Good luck with the wagon. Be sure to jump into the discussions around here. I'm certain you have LOTS of knowledge that will be useful, the same way as questions around here get LOTS of answers.
