    Hello everyone!
I've been around here for a little while, but now that I official have my wagon done(for the most part anyway) I thought I would officially say hello. I've had several classic cars in my life but this is my fourth wagon. I like the popular cars like everyone else, but I always had a strange liking for the "underdog cars"(Edsels, Station Wagons, etc). Its always nice to have people ask "what the heck is that?" and not say oh its just another '55 Chevy. Although you would not believe how many people come up to my '55 Chevy and ask what kind of car it is(what is this world coming to:cry:)! My favorite wagons are the 1973-78 Ford Galaxie and LTD Station Wagons so you will probably see most of my posts related to them. For those of you looking for parts or information on these cars feel free to contact me as I've restored a few of them.

I also deal in vintage toys and have a Evel Knievel/ EK toy website. If you're looking for anything special let me know as I might have it or come across it. http://www.evelknieveltoymuseum.com/

I look forward to being a member of this great website. Enjoy the pictures of my wagon!

You solved a mystery for me, Wag. This wagon at a local yard can only be seen from the back end. I thought it was another model, but yours proves otherwise, and with class too!:thumbs2:

Hey Norman, the black Ford wagon in your photo is the smaller redesign (1979-91). Wagonmaster1978's beauty is before the downsize, something like 9.6 inches longer.

I'm not normally a big fan of the 70's Ford wagons, but that one looks nice with the wood delete and the dog dishes with whitewalls. You need to change your avatar to your black car :)

90merc's and the other wagon both seem to have that "EFI.." lettering on the LH side of the tailgate. I think EFI came later, didn't they?

That yard has some nice wagons, but you can't get close. Just way too swampy, all around, and deep ditches (like a castle' Moat). The other yards around him, say that he's a NUMBER ONE ahole. People stop and take pics, but that's it. Nobody comes to let you in. You have to call, and deal with him on the phone without seeing the car up close. AHOLE!:banghead3:

Thanks for all the kind words guys! Its nice to know my hard work has paid off. I usually have the fully loaded Country Squires, but this one was so far from that I found it quite an interesting project to work on. I figured I'd go for that Hawaii Five-O look. Anybody remember the '66 Galaxie sedan on the show? Of the 1,500 wagons painted black in 1978 only 89 had the LTD trim package. Obviously not as rare as a Tucker or anything like that, but considering how many were scrapped there couldn't be to many wagons left like this on the road. I'm also considering putting the '73 front clip on as I like the older/more aggressive look and that was the original front clip design for this body style anyway.

Fannie: Got about two months into it right now, but still have a bunch of stuff left to do.

Looks sinister in black with the dog dish caps. There very likely may have been one just like in the later years of Hawaii 5-0 (or at least Quincy's Coroner wagon).
It looks out of scale and kind of small next to the stone wall. I doubt that stone wall was built by hand.
