1924 Ford Model T Touring for sale on BaT Auctions - sold for $7,700 on November 11, 2021 (Lot #59,323) | Bring a Trailer I've watched videos of how to drive one, and seen one operating at a car show, but always wondered if it was as hard as it looks?
Yes I have, but its been about 15 years. They are not hard to drive, just different. As they don't use what is considered to be todays standard control set up. Also I found the 2 transmission gears to be 1st gear to slow, and 2nd gear to be way to fast for the steering sspension, and mechanical brakes!
All I know is how to start one, and even when done correctly, you run the risk of a broken arm. Also, once started, don't forget to throw the switch from 'battery' to 'magneto,' or you'll drift to a stop when the battery is drained.
