My name is Joe and I love vintage cars and I love utility, I guess that is why I have always been drawn to wagons. I currently drive a Malibu Maxx, not quite what I had in mind, but I inherited it from my wife. I love orphan makes, I currently have a 1961 Lark sedan I may sell or trade if I find something I like. I am really glad to have found this forum, I am real excited to learn as much as I can.
Welcome to the nut house. You will fit in just right, by the sound of things. That Lark sounds great. Can't wait to see the pics. When you do go wagon hunting, be sure to let us know what you are after. We're great at spending OPM! That is "Other People's Money", by the way. If you find one you are interested in, too, there is often someone on here close enough to go take a look for you, and tell you whether it is worth your effort or not. We have more than a few petrol-heads and gear crazy loons around the joint. You will find Wagonitis is a terminal illness, rather like life. We all suffer from if. Or maybe I should say revel in it (See pictures of Rev's garden, and you'll understand what I mean). Join in the discussions. Knowledge around here is community property. It is amazing what you learn, even though you thought you really knew the topic! Enjoy your stay. Come on in, and set a spell. Michael.
The Lark is packed in the garage, clean body, but the motor smokes like hell. Rebuild for Studebakers is close to 3k, I could probably get a running wagon for close to the price of an engine rebuild if I can sell if for the body. I would trade or sell for a wagon. I'm probably looking for full-size mid 60's- mid 70's GM. I like Pontiacs and Buicks.
