Thinking of putting a fuel cell in my 61 ranch wagon, original is gunked up pretty bad and sending unit is toast. Spare tire compartment is looking good if I can find a cell that will fit and hold enough gas. This is cheaper than cleaning old one and coating it. I was wondering if any one has done this and what ohm sending unit to use that will be compatable to Fords. Suggestions, comments wellcome.

RCI was what I looked at, found one that would fit spare tire well. I also found a guy in Rockville MD. that would fix and coat my tank for $500. I would love to keep the original system so I guess I'm going to spend the bucks. The sending unit is another story, probably get a universal one and bend it to work. Nobody makes repro units for my wagon and the one I found on ebay was $200. If anyone has a unit that fits 61 ranch wagon at a decent price I will take it.
