I have been fighting the urge every since i sold my 61 Ford wagon and I cannot go w/o much longer! Looking for cool pre 72 wagon, love the 1960's Pontiac's. Will surf this site and CL until the right one pops!
What can I say... Taxes happen. Just sold this 69 Cougar so I am in the money until taxes come around once again!
YOU DID WHAT!!!!!!! YOU SOLD THIS MAGNIFICENT PIECE OF MACHINERY?? Please please tell me someone held a gun to your head....., otherwise....:banghead3: I will not be able to sleep tonight....my eyes will be shattered with tears.
Well, sob sob, here´s a 60 Catalina for you. Asking $ 19495:- Airrides and a Chevy 305 in it, and in Sweden. But since you probably got a zillion dollars for that awesome CS, my guess is that you can afford the shipping... here´s the swedish link: http://www.blocket.se/helsingborg/Pontiac_Catalina_1960_29060392.htm?ca=3&w=3
I've noticed, with astonishment, the prices on some of the wagons for sale over there, nik.....are those prices USD?? If so...I doubt that many of them will be returning to the states!
Todays dollar versus the swedish krona= $1=7,13 kronor. That´s the truth the whole truth and nuttin´but the truth..
OK...sorry...I'm still not getting this. I see in the ads a different amount than you quote here. So...you ARE quoting USD? The Poncho that you are showing here is priced at just shy of 20,000 DOLLARS?
Ha ha Ok, here goes: He is asking 139,000 Swedish Kronor. Divide that by todays dollar( which is for every dollar you get 7,13 swedish kronor) and that will get you close to 20,000 dollars. Exactamundo, so to speak. We never said it´s easy or cheap to buy american made, but parts are often cheaper than volvo or saab or other european cars.
Mr GTE Cougar Don?? , WOW, that wagon is stunning! Are you the Don Rush I am thinking about....MR, if any body wants to know about Mercury Cougars, and get parts Don Rush? http://www.cougarpartscatalog.com/ "If" it"s you....You helped me out several years ago (and saved me huge $$) when I needed a windshield for a 67
Thanks, nik...that's the way I saw it and....yeah....I am still astonished. Looks like those nice wagons you have over there are going to stay over there.
