That was before people called every car and truck with rust a "Rat Rod" They were just rusty, raggedy cars and trucks!
just "replicas" Go on Youtube, watch parts of the movie, the truck in Duel had a stretch of railroad track for a front bumper. Remember seeing an interview with Mr. Spielberg, where he admitted that Jaws was just Duel with a shark instead of a truck.
those Mopars and, he also said he picked the "Valiant" because of it's name. It's name is part of it's "character". If it'd been a Dart or a Rambler, it wouldn't have been the same.

Great story Tedy! Love your take on this classic...What was that truckers problem anyway? After seeing this movie when I was young I thought all truck drivers eventually went nuts and tried to kill hapless travelers.
Where'd you see that Buick, Hans? with the writing on it, looks to be some sort of Buick concept vehicle, but I've never seen it before. Has basically the body of a '60, but the rear lower body panel is different, and it has a lot of trim changes. Then, of course, there's that big trunk fin........ Marshall
