This is our family cruiser, but our family just got a bit smaller as one grew up and moved out. I am going to sell this one and downsize both this and our convertible 67 Chevelle into one smaller 8 passenger wagon (yet to be determined) I am open to ideas and/or trades. Thanks and have a great day.
Nice wagon. What does the emblem just forward of the driver's door mean?..If you like this one but want slightly smaller that gets about twice the miles per gallon, find an 80's/90-91 Country Squire or Colony Park.Seating is for seven though. There is a seatbelt in the middle of the front seat, but it's a dummy...
Smaller 8 passenger wagon. Very funny. But really that Ford is the epitome of the 50s-70s wagons hauling familys to the national parks and towing campers of all kinds. I think your wagon is very special and unique. Never anymore do you see vinyl roofs on wagons and they were quite rare new. That very unique color combo makes it unique as well. I hope you get your price as that's a nice wagon with a combination of upgrades and accessories that you just don't see anymore. I've looked at all the pics on ebay and it's close to new condition. Sorry you are giving it up but someone will love to have it. I can picture it towing a 30' Airstream down the interstate.
Yeah. That designation is usually given to Ford's pick-up trucks. If the wagon has a factory installed trailer hitch package(which would include upgraded rear suspension)it might be for that...If it wasn't original and an add on,it's probably somebody's idea of a good joke...A queen size mattress will fit in the back of that wagon.Cumfy camping accomodations.
That's a beautiful Squire. Growing up, our family had a '72 Mercury Marquis Brougham sedan that was the same green color. You don't by chance happen to know Ford's name for that color? Ours had "medium ginger" (IIRC) as the interior color. I love that yours has the vinyl top...as TBird said, you don't see that option on wagons much...even then.
Then get a mid-60's Pontiac wagon.I've seen quite a few, painted up little red hot rod style.Even with flames sometimes. And,if you do the trim right, you've got a GTO wagon!..No woodie required, and even discouraged.
I have found a few smaller Fairlane, GM A-body (Skylark-Chevelle, etc) cars with third seat for sale but none quite right. I think the perfect thing is out there somewhere. I'm trying to end up with re-done suspension, disc brakes, third seat (hopefully facing the rear) , possible factory or aftermarket air, etc. Not mint, but presentable and safe...maybe lowered and kind of kool.
thats a nice looking wag....have you ever considered maybe just putting 'new' school running gear (mustang5litre) in it and keeping it
