Steel magnolias in the back yard. Tuff as nails plant IMO, it was in the back yard when we moved in (2000) along with various other plants...... it's the only thing that has survived the dogs! I posted in another thread our first Tulip, here it is a few days later..... My mutant/grafted 5 different kinds of pears, pear tree I planted last spring is blooming also......... More pics for you coming fannie, if you fall asleep look back tommorow
Beautiful Tedy. I was in our back yard yesterday with Skipper when I noticed a few brave shoots pocking out of the ground. I thought about taking a couple pics to share here, but after seeing your flowers I'm glad I didn't. Thanks for the pics, I'll check for the rest tomorrow. Night night
Flowers in the weeds, Deb attacks the garden in may. That's when we go buy lots of new and she weeds and plants. still looks ok IMO, a lot better than some yards on the street. This is where I found the honey bee just after I shot the dandelions. I use a .30-30 rifle to kill dandelions , more friendly than all those chemicals that are scorching our earth and the best part is none of the neighbors come over and bother you with...'Wha Cha do'in?"
Hmmmm - shorts or jeans today. What to do, rain on and off in the morning, back to sunshine and mid to high teens (celcius teens folks, not F degrees like you get). What to do what to do what to do. Ok, shorts it is. Thanks for the help deciding.
Well we had thunderboomers yesterday evening till around 10AM today. That cooled things down from a sunny 80 to 71 degrees now. But the sun is out again. I'm not big on pictures anymore so you will have to pretend to see our Azaleas all over the yard, our Dogwood tree, and Dogwod bushes. But our Dogwoods look nothing like Tedy's. Ours are more like mangy pups. And our Magnolias don't bloom for a month or more. We did have our neighborhood deer, squirrels, and even a few butterflies out. I'm always confused about you Canadians. You have flowers and green grass before we do in NW Florida. Happy to say the weeds and Fire Ants seem to be doing well.
Me neither! On tonights weather... they're watching a system moving across Canada that could bring snow by mid week! On a brighter note, I had an amazing day off today. Beautiful, sunny spring day! Visited my sister, went shopping, drove home on a back country road along a lake. It so pretty and relaxing. Took Skipper for a long walk before the sun went...yeah, it was agood day.
