I had mentioned in another discussion thread that my favorite brand new car manufactured today is a Volvo XC70 wagon. I thought it might be interesting to see what everybody's favorite new car might be.

Its not a wagon, but the 2010 Challenger is now available in Plum Crazy Purple, and when I saw a purple one on the street last week I started to drool.

Chrysler isnt doing so well Jim. Id pick up that Challenger while its still possible. I dont think they will survive this depression.

So far as a nw car hmm .... hard to tell since I cant afford one. But I seem to look at the new Ford Flex alot ... same with the new Mustang

You and I are thinking along the same lines, F-27. I'd go for the Flex with the Ecoboost V6 and AWD. Might even throw on some wood.......

    Talk about "retro-done-right"!!
After taking a lot of heat from old time Mopar fans over using the Charger name, they really got it together for this one.
One of very few modern cars I would love to have in my driveway.

    Z06 Vette.
I like any of the three retro muscle cars, I just wish they would get that cab forward crap out of their head. Those cars are to tall in the belt line and the front ends do not have enough distance between the door and wheel opening and front over hang is to short. They should have looked at the Vette a little harder as far as proportions are concerned.
We should all adopt anything Ford makes as our favorite though. They are the only brick left holding the wall up.

I sure do agree with Motion regarding Ford. (y) They flipped the G the bird and I'm proud of them for that. I hope that they become a major free enterprise car company that will continue to tell the G to stick it.

    who knows fox,

the "G" in GM is in the business of slapping 16million dollar fines on their competitors, so who knows.... if GM further ****s the bed, it wouldnt suprise me that we get either coerced into buying GM products or the competitors somehow get discredited.

I'm not a fan of any of the new vehicles but if I'd have to pick one it would be the ZR1. I don't like the "retro" look on the Mustangs and Challengers.

Funny thing - I hadn't really noticed the new cars. They all look so much alike other than the mustang, challenger, some of the other ones but until I read this thread they hadn't really registered and I had to stop and think about it. I guess the Flex is the one that has caught my eye the most as I even remembered what it is and what it looks like - and mostly because a friend is intending to buy one and said they were coming out with a high horsepower one. Hey, but I did notice that a 70 Chevy Kingswood wagon showed up in the neighborhood on Friday - now that caught both mine and my wife's attention. She was impressed. Slammed, sounded great, and it was just hauling down the street .

I guess I should at least look and see if there are any new wagons that might be nice to have in about ten years and if so go get a brochure or three now so I have them when I find the car, slightly used and tucked away in some old ladies garage in 2020..........(y)
