So left the house well before 7AM in the Bug for the event. Duncan Days is mainly a family event, yet there was a large beer garden, rite beside us.....but even if I was not driving, I could not take advantage of that I was pre given a spot to set up and at first I thought it was kinda lame but not only am I glad I got because of the heat and we were under shade almost all day but the location turned out dam good! Sold $790 in tickets and got over $40 in spare change donation for GSRBC as posted here in my summer plans.... http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25776 The empty parking lot behind me got all set up for kids fun ( all free for the kids including archery set up in a sea can container), and kids like dogs, and kids Have parents with $...really helped sales The beer garden was on the other side of the bushes to the right. From 10AM - 2PM we sold $400, then the beer garden's rock band started up and family's disappeared fast. Over a hour went by and not a sale. Then the beer drinkers spotted us $360 more till 5PM when we shut down and packed up. Deb now loaded up waiting for me, I open the bug door to leave and a couple walk out from the beer garden to the bug. I said tickets are still for sale until I drive out, then another couple is rite there and bout 2, then the couple I originally said that too bout 1...= $790 Below is just before we started packing up, the other view. Notice we are not just Shepherds, there are 2 Coker Spaniels needing a home. Rite beside us the huge balloon Velcro put the kids in a suit and jump at the wall thing was set up. It was funny as all heck all day. We were not looking at the time of wall splat but heard very load " DAD!, I CAN'T MOVE!!...and a Mom splitting her guts laughing. Here is Dad pealing his kid off the balloon wall, kids feet pointing to the sky..and then the kid wanted more.... They bout 2 tickets And then the parade, Fire men were handing out non stop freezies to every one, he gave me a blue one.. I took pics of a lot ov vintage trucks, couple cars, and fire trucks. I'll post more pics when they load but for now here is a really cool vintage Land Rover that serviced Maple Bay BC back in the day.... I also have to get ready for the VW car show tomorrow, bug needs a good spit and polish.
