Deleting a thread

How can I delete a thread with my car for sale which is no longer for sale?

 

just ad in thread Car is sold!!

Or simply just do nothing and the thread will be doomed into finding its own way to the back burner

Don't they call it mud raking? Alot of that is accidental. That Italia thread I bumped was on a search engine list, as I was looking up Consul (Ford). What I got is "consulate". I thought the following gem was a Consul. Thus, wishing to post it somewhere:
