not cunfusious....but confusion....just a hair so....should we bs'n about old wagons in one place and new in another??? .....not that i have anything to say about 'new ones'....well.....nuttin nice anyhoo:suspect: I like my wagons 'old' ...thats all
Anything wagon related can go in the general section and threads about the classics and older wagons should be in yesteryear sub forum. Rev, I love the classics, but their are some great wagons being built today, like the 300HP Volvo V70 R....
Stef...dont get me wrong....i'd luva newer Volvo...i've had a few(old) volvo wagoons see....heres the deal tho...i'd have to sell 4 of mine to afford 1 New Volvo...even a 2001...lol ,,,,and 4 crusty ones beats one rubber bumper one !! It's a lil game... i like to call..."wagon holdem" ....So whats the break year for 'old and new'?
It depends on when the generation of a model ends. Cars like the volvo 240 were produced from 1974 - 1993 (assuming there was no redesign) and the Caprice's second to last generation were produced from 1977 - 1990 and I consider these 'old' wagons. Other cars, like the Subaru GL, were redesigned in 1985, so I consider Subarus wagons up to 1984 as 'old'. Im sure many of the newer parts would fit with little or no modification on the older wagons, so that is why I include them. This is not fixed in stone and if the members want it, I could change it to a fixed date. Rev, what your break for new and old?
well...about the closest i'll get to a 'new school' transplant,,,is throwing a late 80's/5litre into one of my 60's wagoons sooo...guess which category i'll spend the most time in? ohh...and i sent out some emails to some of my "goonies"..(pop culture reference)....will see if they take the bait
