A guy posted this Chevrolet luggage carrier for free on Facebook this weekend just a few miles from me. The gentleman was cleaning out a old attic in a house and found it. The family said they had bought a brand new 1973 Chevy Impala wagon and this carrier for a family road trip. When they returned, took the carrier off and stuck it in the attic. Strapped it on my wagon today.

Wow. That is really cool to have. Certainly not aerodynamic, but cool, nonetheless.

    Can't beat the price.:D
That's a GM accessory " Luggage Carrier Rak Pak" they cost about 40 bucks and could be had with the other division's logos too, rare to find one in good shape. They just made a mesh deal for the 91-? GM B-body wagons , looks like a big cargo net in the parts catalog, never seen one personally.

That's like the elusive cargo area cover for the Ford Bronco Eddie Bauers. It's in the catalog, but only a couple sightings. I thought I had found one today, until I realized it was red, not Desert Sand color. *grumblegrumblegrumble*

I must also say that it is a rare accessory. Nice find and the best part is that you got it for free.
