Not many wagons there but thought you guys might enjoys these. Chestermere Lake is just outside of Calgary, Alberta. http://s1099.photobucket.com/albums/g390/sixtiewagon/Chestermere Show 2012/
Great pics. Thanks for posting. I'm sure the rain was welcome in the region if not to the car owners. There are some nice cars in that part of the world.
It was a Hot day, and it cooled down quite a bit. A lot of them tried to get out of there and get home, but, because so many tried to leave, they just caused a traffic jam and sat thru the rain storm anyways. My friends and I had a canopy set up and spent the time under it holding it down from the wind. Watching our cars get wet. Difference being, we weren't burning any gas LOL
I guess where you are there is always the risk of hail as well when these things get going. And what I always found a hassle when we got caught in these in Southern Alberta was our cars were somewhat dusty from the light breeze, then the rain hits, and you have a cleaning chore ahead of you. You were smart to just sit and wait. People in a hurry to leave can hurt their cars, others cars and for that matter, like you say, just end up burning gas and getting frustated in their cars. Not that I have ever done that in my younger days . You must be older than 25.
