Hello all, I am looking for a carpet supplier for a 71 Vista cruiser with the 3rd row seating. A.C.C has a carpet kit but not for the 3rd seat wagons. Any ideas? I have also considered replacing the old viynal with carpet to match also.
This isn't just a Vista Cruiser issue. It's a general station wagon issue. When I was looking for carpet for my '73 Custom Cruiser with a third seat, I found that none of the vendors had as a standard item carpeting for that third seat area. They had it for the front and second seats all day long, since that's pretty much the same as the corresponding four-door sedan, but not the third seat. My guess is that there just isn't enough demand. What I did was order carpet for the front and second rows and then enough extra yardage to cut what was necessary for the third seat. I then took the old third-seat carpet to the same shop that did the reupholstering of my car's front seat, and he cut, folded, trimmed, etc. the extra pieces to match the old pieces. It worked pretty well, and I figured it was the best I was going to be able to do.
I have just received my color choices from ACC and I will need to buy the extra yardage. I am going to look at the link the Rev sent me also. Thanks for all the info it really helps.
Trimparts will let you order an 'extra' as well and...I cant recall....did you look at www.stockinteriors.com as well?
Well my 3 colors are way off, so I have asked for a few more. I did look at the trimparts and found some items not seen before, such as rear door weather stipping. Thanks
