I used to be a regular over here with my first G-Body wagon, did a bunch to it, got busy, customers took more of my time, racing grabbed what was left, but somehow through all the ensuing chaos, I never lost my enthusiasm for the long roofs. Well, yesterday, I called my Admin in on her day off and made her drive me halfway across the state to pick up a Craigslist 77 Malibu Wagon. I had to do it that way, because my wife is less than supportive in my disease. You never know what you are going to end up finding and the hunt is half the fun, in my book. My secretary, however only joins me when I offer Doubletime, lunch and an adult beverage.
This is the car, on the Ferry ride back home, secretary following. I'll start another thread, cuz this might get long....

:Welcome:Welcome back. Glad you found a nice wagon project. I'd been glad to take you to get it for double time and a few beers. And I don't eat much.

    Hi Matt,
Good find man. Your current G-body wagon is still pictured on this site.

Welcome back! Just remember, owning a wagon is not a requirement to be here, else I wouldn't be allowed through the door! Great wagon, and a great story. Can't wait to see your project thread!

Thanks guys! Jack, ya, I went over to the G-bodies forum for all the specialized parts I need and that's a great forum. I like the interest generated in the non G body section! Good to see you're here too! I'll post up the build of the 77 here and there too. Scout, Ya. If we don't treat the girls in our lives right, we wouldn't have what we have, so that's her work car. I'm pretty excited to start, but have to wait until I get this 67 deville out and I have a 63 ford F-100 coming in for IFS, R&P, 4WDB Air bags and probably more. The G-body wagon leaves sooner than I want, it's really a nice driver, just ran it down to Phoenix and back. 3200 miles in a week, raced, towed trailers all that good stuff it got 19 with trailer and 21 without. That's with a Crate 454HO, 700R4, locking converter and a 2.56 gear. Not bad. Cruised down the road 1400 RPM@65. Just idling....
