You might try a SEARCH here. One member wrapped an entire station wagon.

after watching Top Gear with the episode where they wrapped the cars it got me thinking if there are any places out there that do wrapping that have woodgrain due to the fact I got my car pre removed if you know what I mean.

Yes they are both the same material and if you want a woodgrain pattern I am sure there are several styles available off the shelf and if not a good sign shop can match a grain and color. As for other designs like carbon fiber there would be hundreds of choices. I actually bought some vinyl material on ebay in a "machine turned finish and used it to cover up some factory woodgrain on a 71 Buick Riviera door panel and it looks absolutely like real aluminum. It is pretty easy to install too.

I've got a picture on my page showing a recent vinyl wrapped County Squire spear. I had a shop do it. He had to prep the fiberglass before putting the vinyl on because he said it wanted to bubble up. I know he used a heat gun while doing it and then glued the back edges. Waiting for the rest, but I'm impressed.

I've wrapped about 1,000 trucks now. If we are talking about a wrap being the Mylar film like 3m controltac is.

No question a wrap will work for wood grain and I absolutely plan on doing my T&C that way.

The challenge will be getting a shop to get the pattern right on the wood grain. It would be hard to get a good replica without a lifesize sample to start from. I haven't quite figured out how we will get the right look for the Chrysler yet, but we will.

Eddie this sounds like a great way to redo the many woodgrained wagons needing it.
I see the wraps on many trucks and buses.

I'm not trying to get it back to original on my Country Squire. With the primrose yellow body color I don't want any woodgrain look that is dark. I don't care for the contrast it makes. Shutterstock.com has thousands of samples. I'm in the middle of changing the interior color of the vinyl. I much prefer medium palomino vs palomino. Only problem I'm having is finding tape that will stick to to seat vinyl so I can two tone.

they can print any shade of woodgrain you want basically, the only downside is your looking at an 5-10 yr life span so it won't last as long as the factory did

    Wood You????????

I've never had anything with wood look on the outside. I do really like it. But would prefer to just add a contrasting paint color in place of it. Or maybe vinyl in a solid color.
I don't remember how the vinyl holds up in Illinois where we are moving. But in Florida the sun is tough on vehicles and humans.
I'm even starting to wrinkle up like an old Buick woody!:rofl2:
