Hello my name is... Sorry, I couldn't resist. I am a new member here and CLEATUS 7.jpg my name is Tay; I live in Northeastern Kansas, USA. I have a 1973 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser, he goes by Cleatus. Cleatus is my daily driver and has been for last 4 years. I do not like newer vehicles because I am nostalgic and as I get older I feel that older cars (and other vintage things) do tend to help me feel a little like a kid again. Boy I'd be in my height of glory if they brought back drive in theaters! Anyway, since Cleatus and I are starting to get a little less young I am going to start on his face lift. First his 350 Rocket will be rebuilt and then he will get new weather stripping and some new paint; Planning to get rid of the faux-wood-grain and trim and paining him all brown (as current- only metallic). I love Cleatus so please be nice to us, and don't worry about us drinkin' up all your beer, we don't care for it ;)

PS the pics are of me and Cleatus

Welcome aboard Tay. Cleatus looks like a pretty solid car to begin with. I'm looking forward to seeing how the face-lift progresses.

I haven't seen one of those wagons in a while. Welcome to the forums. Like kevdupuis said, we'll need more pics of the wagon, we like pictures.

I maybe a bit late to the :welcomewagon: . Glad you and Cleatus found your way here.
I'm curious why you have decided to remove the faux wood on your wagon? Not judging just curious. I recently had a wagon that also had the faux wood. I approached a shop about the cost of having it replaced following some body work. It was going to be very expensive. As things turned out I didn't do either the body work or the faux wood, I ended up selling the car for a bunch of reasons.
However, I hope you enjoy the forum. We are mostly a great bunch of car people who respect and enjoy all makes and modes of automobiles from all over the world. Again really glad you found us, looking forward to watching Cleatus's face lift.

    :Welcome: aboard.
