We had an accident yesterday. The car slipped away and the brakes locked and we went to the left side of the road and smashed into a large truck that came from the opposite direction. Bad wet road, we were not speeding but the road was like ice. We are very lucky... everybody is fine. Duke is saved by the child seat and the dogs by the nylon crates...
But I am sad, we put so much effort in getting this mercury into the condition it was, days and days of hard labor, replacing the vinyl etc... It was a perfect car...
I am looking for a cp like this one, I really miss him...
    If anyone can help...

    This cp saved our lives...

Holly Sh**, I'm glad all of you are OK!!

I can guarentee we will keep on the watch for a new wagon for you. IMO you should look for one with the same interiour colour, then you will have parts etc for life

Glad everyone is OK sorry about your car but I am sure you will find another one. Thank goodness for that BIG wagon, with that kind of damage just think what it would have done to a smaller car...That wagon is the reason everyone escaped injury!

    Thank you...

This one has a blue interior...

I sent an email, he says the car is in good condition and has no rust. 70k miles. Sounds too good to be true. Does anyone live near North Charleston? I am willing to pay for an inspection..

oh NOOOOOOO, meuli !!! What a SHAME!! Seriously....very glad everyone survived and is without injury. You are right....that wagon saved you from great possible peril.
I loved what you did to that wagon and am SO sad to see this. We will try our best to find you another cherry wagon with the same color combo!

Sorry to hear abt the accident but glad no one was seriously hurt. I'm in GA, just a little too far from coastal SC to go look at that car. Good luck replacing it. :)

Does anyone know whom I can ask to do a car inspection, any companies I can call or send an email to?

Definitely, if it is very thorough then it would be money well spent.

--------As everyone wrote, glad you and the dogs were fine. I know you will miss that beautiful wagon. But it is only metal and parts. it can be relaced. Hopefully you will get one that parts can be used off the wreck. Good luck.
