http://www.fivestarautogroup.com/ve...-gv-sport-393215.cfml?refby=dealersite#ar_top $7999 AHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Someone needs to explain to this dealer that they were not close to that much new….and a set of Fiat wheels, aftermarket gauges, and a Sony radio are not worth that upcharge. Jeez it had nearly 80K miles on it….the head gasket is due to pop any second! I do like that it has Buick Roadmaster Gran Touring Suspenion on it. DUMBASS!
Got a Yugo story for you...... Back in the mid 90's I was doing collision damage auditing at repair facilities that would contract with the insurance company I worked for, doing repairs at specified rates. I would go around to these shops and spot-check them to keep them honest. The shops we chose were all top-quality shops. I went out one day and signed up a new shop for the program. They were telling me they were really looking forward to getting some good cars to work on. Most of their existing customers were European stuff - BMW's, Mercedes, etc. referrals from dealers, etc. I stopped back a couple of weeks later to see how things were going. Opened up their assignment log and unfortunately thy had only received one assignment so far - on a Yugo....... They were overjoyed.
Those things used to go for 50-75 bucks in the car corrals at the swap meets. One guy I knew bought one and cut the roof off with a sawzall right there at his dealer space then used it to haul parts to the parking lot for people and made some good bucks, parked it by the dumpster when he left.
He is desperate for his commision. This is one of the reasons Id never buy a classic car from a broker/dealer.
Come on, fellas. Be fair. This is likely the ONLY Yugo left in the world that is rust free. He is likely correct when he says that this may be the finest Yugo in the world.

Here's one 60 miles away in San Antonio. Rust-free Texas car....for $800...which I still think is too much.... Should I send that to the dealer in case he wants another investment car?? http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/cto/3231908419.html
Friend of mine had one of these. Looked exactly like this one that's for sale. It ran and he tried to sell it for $150 and couldn't get a buyer. This was back in 1998. He still has the car sitting in a field where it has stopped running and is now a rust bucket.
The Yugos were horrific cars before they ever left the factory. Door handles that came apart in your hands, body panels that never fit, try to make them fit right and they'd snap off in your hand, they were just bad cars. Not to mention the plant being bombed during the civil war ... There's an 87 Yugo GL that a woman buzzes around town here in. I went up to her and asked why shed drive suck a pos. She said there aren't many left and she loves the attention the car gets. Just why I have a classic Buick skylark I drive. I don't even know her but I like her already. What a woman !
