A 62 Chrysler wagon at Carlisle (parked next to a 66 Dodge), a 59 New Yorker at the WPC show in Virginia, a 63 at Spring Fling in California, and a 64 at the Walter P Chrysler show in Virginia. Anyone else have more photos of Chrysler wagons you've seen at shows to keep the thread going?

Hey, cuda....you're bringing me down memory lane here. All these cars you are showing were on the road in my era. Hate showing my age but that 50 Dodge was one I rode around in as well as several others you show in your posts. I love those old Mopar wagons. They had a certain style about them. Especially when Virgil Exner came along, but even before and after that.

These picture are just the ones I could easily load onto the computer. If I ever figure out how to use a scanner to load photos from decades of attending car shows, then look out.

Meanwhile, heres a few more pictures of Chrysler wagons from Spring Fling in California. A few photos of a 50 Chrysler woody wagon and a 67 Chrysler wagon.

How big was this Spring Fling because it certainly seems like it had a whole bunch of wagons in it? I'm loving it. Thanks for the pics.

Spring Fling is a two day event that usually has between 600 and 700 cars. My photos aren't in any real order, so, in this thread, and the theads on Dodge and Plymouth wagons, some of the pictures are from recent years while others are from this year. '08 and '09 pictures are included and I think one earlier show. Some of the wagons show up every year. Others show up for one show only. Its a great show, with alot of nice rust free southern California Mopars.

Found some old negatives from a Spring Fling Mopar show in L.A. and decided to add these Chrysler wagons and one DeSoto to this thread. A pair of 68 Town and Countrys, a 60 New Yorker, and a 59 DeSoto.

I'm not too sure at the moment still in the planning stage in my head at the moment but I'm thinking a mix of old and new, gonna start by taking the roofrack and all the side and window chrome off the hubcaps are going and the front and middle bench seat all have to go

    Thanx for the pix, Jim.
Looking at the '57 T&C, I noticed that it had dual headlamps. IIRC, wern't dual headlamps an option in '57, or was that just on the lower-line vehicles? ( And yes, they do look 'odd' with a single headlamp in a dual-headlamp housing...)

Krash, 57 was the first year for dual headlights in the US, but they weren't yet legal in all states (at least not at the beginning of the model year). The only makes that had dual headlights in 57, were Chrysler, DeSoto, Imperial, Mercury, Lincoln, and Nash (and the rare 57 Cadillac ElDorado Brougham 4 door).
As I understand it, one of the states where the dual headlights weren't allowed till 58 (or maybe later in the 57 model year), was California. Chryslers, DeSotos, Imperials, and Mercurys I know made accomodations for the single headlight arrangement for those states on the 57 models. But I don't know how it worked for Nash and Lincoln. I have never seen a single headlight arrangement on the 57 Nash or the 57 Lincoln (except the Continental). Thats why you'll see some 57 Chryslers and Imperials and Desotos with the single headlight arrangement, but to me it looks very strange, especially when seen on 57 Imperials and 57 300's.
57 Mercurys were available nationwide in single and dual headlight arrangements, so I don't know if it was standard on some models where allowed and optional on other models where allowed, or maybe there was a changeover in mid year.
As a side note, the 57 Dodges and Plymouths "appeared" to have dual headlights, but in reality, the round inboard lights were the turn signal lights. Like most other makes, Dodge and plymouth first recieved the dual headlights in 58.

Welcome chalky. :Welcome: 1968 Town & Countrys are pretty great looking wagons.
Think long and hard before you get rid of the beautiful chrome. Never cared for the roof racks on these, but the window and side molding chrome totally rocks! :yup:
