Bidding is very sluggish so far this time around. Makes me wonder if it will sell. This beautiful wagon deserves a good home.

I notice the invoice indicates it shipped new to a dealer in Everett, Washington which at the time was headquarters and main plant for Boeing Corporation. Could the original owner have been a Boeing employee or executive?

I've toured the Boeing plant in Everett, and it is really fascinating. I would recommend it to anyone who makes a trip to the Seattle area.

    Per Wikipedia:

Everett is home to the largest public marina on the west coast of the United States[8] and is the western terminus of the western segment of U.S. Route 2. It is also home to Boeing's assembly plant for the 747, 767, 777, and the new 787 in the largest building in the world by volume at 116.5 million cubic feet (3,300,000 m3).

Has anyone else noticed in the interior pics, the condition of the driver's side B post trim? Poor in contrast to the adjacent door trim, makes me wonder some?

Post up the pic(s) you are looking at and be specific, moto. Hard to say what exactly you are referring to.

Can't see this one as well but it doesn't look much better. Hard to keep that plastic that's that old from deteriorating.

About that trim, I remember in the ad text the seller did mention that the wagon showed some age discoloration on some of the interior trim pieces.

The seller also states this is an "always garaged" car. The amount of discoloration on these pieces and what looks like pitting might be of concern to a serious buyer. Looks bad and out of place considering condition of rest of interior.

That sort of discoloration was fairly common with GM products of that era. I had a 1979 Grand Prix with a red interior, and it had similar discoloration issues of interior areas by the time it was only five years old.

Yup...the material that it's made out of will disintegrate over time. It's a hard problem to fix.

I wouldn't have let it go for that price either.
