Hello all. Stumbled across this forum... Can't beleive I haven't found it sooner. My name is Martin and I've got a 72 Plymouth Satellite Wagon that my grandfather bought new. It's all original and staying that way. I'm in love with wagons as a whole though, and it seems like I'm gonna fit in just fine here.

Wow, that is one beauty of an original wagon. I can't believe it's 37 years old and still looking like it's factory fresh. How many miles are on 'er? God Bless your Granddad for taking such good care of it. Obviously, she's been garage kept her whole life, am I right? Where in Jersey do you live? I was born and raised in Cranford, Exit 137 on the Parkway.
Welcome, glad you found your way here. I have only been here a day or so and already feel at home. Many of these guys with help you out im sure The Rev and Snooterbuckets come to mind. "Snooterbuckets" whats up with that, does it have some kind of meaning.
68k miles, just rolled that this summer. It was in the 67k for as long as I can remember (Last 5 years or so). This summer I started driving on the road (legally) so it gets plenty of road time now... Yes it has been garage kept it's whole life, in the same garage. Thanks, but it isn't exactly showroom new. It has it's minor war wounds here and there. It was the secondary car, and also beleive it or not was and still is the family truck. Until 97, it pulled a camper to York PA and back 2 times a year along with a car full of people and model trains. Plus every other thing you could imagine using a wagon for, you know, family trips, hauling a garage home. Yes, it hauled a complete ~12X24 shed, concrete foundation, lumber, and ect home back in 81. That is the building my dad's 60 plymouth sits in. This was my grandpa's baby. The last new car he ever bought. Also, the most well optioned one ever also, the only one with a v8. And while it isn't showroom new it does look damn good for a 37 year old car... I live in Metuchen. Cranford is only a 20-30 minute drive for me.
Gotta love it! 68K miles on a '72 is amazing. My '76 had a few more than that when Dad sold it to me in '89. Its great to see another family wagon still in the family.
Snooterbuckets is a nick name my brothers had for me from years back. Can't even remember where they got it from. My nephew set me up on the computer about 10 years ago and thought that would make for a good email address. Now, for the past ten years, I've been having to explain it!! Marcar, it's even more amazing that your wagon has stayed in such good shape what with our Jersey winters and how the road guys love to use that salt. I know she's in good hands with you looking after her. Does she have a name?
snooter, it rarely see's winter anymore. And even back when it was new it didn't go out much, let alone in winter. And her name is simply, "the wagon". As she has been affectionatly called as long as I can ever remember. Hey stick, I saw you posted in one of the threads I was reading... can't hide from eachother can we...
