Hi there. Saw the site and was very happy to find others who appreciated the old classic station wagons. They are finally getting the credit they deserve at car shows, and the public really enjoys seeing them again. Before the mini van was introduced, wagons used to be a part of everyday life in the US. Now good specimans are really quite rare, as most seem to have ended up as scrap during the demolition derby wars of the 70's and 80's.. Its nice to see that there are a lot of guys who appreciate and restore them once again! I am looking for weatherstripping for all 4 doors and the main tailgate area for a 1970 Ford Torino /Fairlane /Falcon body type 71 station wagon. Any leads on parts or salvage vehicles or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!
Hey Cobra Wagon. This place has the door seals for '70 Falcon wagons? http://macsautoparts.com/search.asp?t=ss&ss=seal&c=176&year=1970&make=Ford New tailgate seals may be impossible to find unless it's just a regular type seal shape like a trunk lid. NOS or used may be your only option unless somebody reproduces the things.
Welcome aboard! Got any pics? I haven't shopped for weather seals yet but am interested to see what you find.
Thanks for welcome Thank you for the nice welcomes, will be interested to see all your projects. Does anybody have the proper FORD part numbers for the front and rear doors or tailgate weatherstripping to fit a 1970 model 71 wagon?
no replacement for displacement I have been looking at the modern large displacement stroker kits for that old 429 and am planning a very stealthy and very stock looking build over 500 cid...
