I didn't even know that you had drag strips in the UK. Those pics remind me of the days back when they raced them as new cars.

    Great wagon, Dave!

But you've got to tell us the story on that fancy red finish panel that's on the tail gate. The 'most deluxe' the '67 Belvedere wagons over here only got chrome strip, I think. Yours looks like it should have come on a fancy Satellite hardtop....

Impressive launch and the wagon looks great. The spare tire well appears to be gone from the right rear quarter. I never thought that hump hanging below the right rear quarter looked right anyway. I've been thinking about doing away with it on my wagon by using a patch panel from a coupe.

Thanks for the nice comments guys,The tail panel trim was a silver finish, stock on belvedere 2,I painted metallic red,a close match to tail lights.
I dont like to see spare wheel well, hanging below quarter,so cut it level, welded a panel flat across area, battery now sits there.
Trunk floor also had wheel well, cut that out, rolled some steel, now floor is flat, custom aluminium fuel tank sits under there, still using stock filler neck.
Interior still as bench front and rear seats, trans shifted on column shifter(reverse pattern)
We have a few drag strips over here,Santa pod,Avon Park,York Raceway,Dakota Raceway,North Weald & Crail, Santa Pod as Top Fuel,Pro Mod etc
