It's too bad they were so bland.
Something that has always fascinated me is how much I dislike the look of the Caprice classic and how much I like the look of the Impala SS.
Just goes to show how tweaking a few minor details can completely change the overall look of something.

Seriously though, I haven't really looked through the listing, but if that really is a 608 mile example, I'm sure a few people are going to be opening up their coin purse for this one.

I’m even kinda surprised it’s sitting at $15 k. That’s purely due to milage. Ok, so you buy this thing. Drive it and put a lot of miles on it, in 5 years you got a $2,500 used car. Would a museum want it? It’s not like it’s a ‘93 Typhoon, or something remotely collectible. BTW WTD, I would almost guarantee you in this was an ‘86 Gran National with 600 miles. You might be close to $276 k.

Well, I finally had a look through the listing and it certainly seems to have the "symptoms" of being an exceptionally low mileage car, so it's claimed 608 miles is certainly plausible. I couldn't really see the pedals that well and the only odd thing to me is that the carpeting up on the sills is discoloured, but other than that, this is about as clean as you're ever going to find one of these. It's an exceptional example.

Given the current market on these, I'm pretty shocked with the $16,250 bid (15 minutes left). I would have guessed three times that for this car. I figured it would have garnered more activity from fans of these than that.

Nah! That'd go for $277,000!

Looks like people keep bidding and adding an addition 1:30 each time...

Yeah. $18,500 for a gussied up cab. Lol, seriously it’s a nice car, I just wonder where it’s going and what it’s lot in life will be. One of these with 60,000 miles is a perfect starter tank for a teenage driver. So sure it won’t be that. I’m of the mind give me a great classic car with 30-60,000 miles on it, I can drive it without worry, and who cares if I have it for 15 years and put 10,000 more miles on. I would think this car if you started driving it regularly is gonna unravel pretty quick.

Only an AM\FM stereo, no tape. That's just wild to see after all these years.

It is extremely basic. Not gonna lie. At least it's decently optioned, but the car overall is kind of bland just because that's how they were when they were new. I'm sure in 10-15 years I'm going to drool over it like I started to for the '80s big cars...

Yeah. I love late 80’s early ‘90’s panther body Mercurys. So I’m there with you. Not a huge fan of these bloated Chevys, unless it’s the wagon. Although I would like at some point a Roadmaster wagon, or a post ‘95 Fleetwood.

Much better price than any other new car you can get now.
