Maryland seller states "corrosion is present on underbody components". No surprise there.

That statement about rust present underbody componets always amuses me, is like they expect the cars to never be driven in humid conditions, and be stored in a climate controlled storage unit for the last 30+ years. Also do they expect the suspension parts to be finished to the same standard as the body parts on a production car?

Do you see any "rust" that would concern you? Or would not be expected on a car that was driven for 20,000 miles?

Did not bother to look at underbody photos and agree that amount of corrosion is a no issue. Doubt if this car ever saw MD road salt, the Summer humidity from the Chesapeake Bay is enough. Car has it's fans - sold for $16,500 after 37 bids.

Yeah, the steel used in frames will either be Cor-Ten, or other specifically-formulated steels, that are supposed to get a light rust coating to give some protection if left otherwise unfinished. Of course, you look at anything that has eaten into the steel, but everyone wants everything to be perfect, and it just doesn't work that way.
