Hi all. I am the proud new owner of a 1987 Ford Country Squire LTD. It needs a bit of love which I think is true of most wagons from that time. Sadly, missing from my vehicle is the third row seats. I have been searching for anything to do with the third row seats. I have just about given up the hope of finding seats. My wagon does still have the seat belts. It is just missing the seats. So I am thinking of maybe building my own, but I was wondering if anyone has any measurement to help me out. If no one has any, I'll just end up hopping in there with a tape measure and taking my best guess at how the seats would look. Measurements would be a big help. Or heck. If anyone has any seats or knows where I could find some, that would work too. My husband has always been a big motorhead and loves his Mustangs. This wagon has me more excited than his Mustangs.
Oh we need some pictures!!! Have you tried the local yards? You just might hit the jackpot. Also check the classifieds here if you haven’t already. Welcome to the forum. Oh and tell your husband that mustangs are just like chicken pox. Most people have had it at one time or another. Your car is definitely cooler than any (mmm, ok most?) mustangs....
Mustangs have their uses, but are nowhere near as utility as a wagon. I once hauled a Ford 400 engine in my '83 CP, no problem. Ask your hubby if his pony car can do that without renting a trailer.
My husband loves that I love my wagon. He has been trying for years to get me excited about cars. Like we have a 1994 Mustang convertible, a 1983 Mustang, and a 1968 Mustang, and none of them have gotten me this excited. He loves my wagon too.
68, 83, 94... none of those get me excited either. I’m sure their great. The good thing is one of you has some sense. But I’m sure since he’s obviously a ford person he can take good care of that wagon. Here’s to hoping you AND husband stay involved with your wagon!!! Oh I’ve said it before and here’s proof. Chicks dig station wagons!!!! http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/threads/comedians-cars-coffee.47345/
You shouldn't have much trouble locating a set of those Dual-Facing Rear Seats ('DFRS') Anything from a big Ford or Mercury wagon, '79 to '91 should work. Check your local salvage yards. You can also go to 'Car-Part.com' and enter your information and get a source there.
So an update. I found a lone savage yard that has both seats. I am so super excited! They are wrapping them and shipping them in the morning. I checked with a local place, and they didn't have any. They gave me a different website https://www.hollanderparts.com/ and I found a place in Kansas. Thank heavens for shipping. I don't even care about the costs. I am just so excited about my seats!
That’s awesomejudging by the stickers and the “5.0” badge someone was enjoying this car. I’m surprised you found seats so quick. ExcitingWhat’s next??? I think “silvertwinkiehobo” has some centercaps for sale. You got the same turbine style wheels I do. Clean wheels and tires go a long way for the aesthetics of a car. Here’s some ideas from my journey out of ignorance. (I learned a thing or two from these people) http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/threads/what-about-these-wheels.43575/
I am looking for one lower seat cushion for my 91 Ford wagon. Previous owner took it out and lost it. I haven't had luck either in finding one.
As JBGarner posted, try that www.hollanderparts.com, and I'm sure someone could scare one up for you. JBGardner, it is true that I have Panther platform parts for sale, including wagons. The center caps I have, though, are the 88-and-up Mercury ones. I've been attempting to get the 88-and-up Ford 'Blue Oval' ones to go on a set of turbine wheels for my Ranchero, to no avail. Anyway, here's the link on this site, but beware, some stuff's already gone, and I just haven't got around to updating the list. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/f...-marq-country-squire-colony-park-parts.30862/
Sent a conversation starter before seeing the rest of this post. Have a set of seats I took out of my 89 wagon and probably won't use. Located in NY , N of Ithaca.
