Thought I would take this opportunity to run across some interesting changes in the big Pontiac lineup that occurred in the '80's, particularly relating to the sedans........ '77 Bonneville: '78 Bonneville: '79 Bonneville: '80 Bonneville: '81 Bonneville: For 1982, Pontiac shifted the 'Bonneville' name to the smaller mid-sized platform (formerly Le Mans / Grand Le Mans; still called the 'Grand Le Mans in Canada). So, for 1982, there was no 'big' Pontiac sold in the U.S. For 1983, Pontiac brought out the Parisienne, which was really a Chevy Caprice with a different grill and tail lights). This is the same car that Pontiac had sold in Canada in 1982. '83 Parisienne: '83 Parisienne, front: '84 Parisienne (same as '83): Well, in 1985, Pontiac brought back the original '77-'81 quarter panels from the Bonneville, and again used the '81 tail lights! The '86 Parisienne was identical to the '85, and that was the last year for the sedan. The wagon (just called 'Safari') continued on through 1989.
Also surprised this power glass sunroof Parisienne Brougham has not sold for just $3000. Great colors and loaded in and out.
In 1984, the sunroof option was priced at $1,100 on a Canadian Oldsmobile Delta 88, so it was a VERY expensive option, considering that my Delta was $13,300 including taxes.
