    Yeah and $7,200 as she sat. Holy Cow. We really were in a Malaise. And the good news is, your loan was probably 13.5%. If you had excellent credit.

    Most everyone that bought a new car back then, were in the 17-21% range. Dad's '78 Fairmont, even with the loan through Navy FedCred, was 15 1/2% back then.
