    They are crazy expensive for what they are. I had an eye opening experiance about the cost of owning one a few years ago, at a show someone managed to put a small door ding in the rear 1/4 of one. The owner was livid as he had just had one just like it repaired for around $8,000 USD's!!!! You can't just bump out, or fill sand paint and blend them!

    I can imagine...as I understand it, when the Delorean factory had been forced closed, a LOT of one side's body panels, from fender to quarter panel, had been stamped out, but only a very small number of the opposite panels (less than ten of each) had been stamped out, and consequently, new panel prices for that side cost much more per piece than the eight grand it took to fix the door ding.
    Even used parts of that particular side are astronomically expensive for that reason.

    Definitely a car that you'd think twice about driving anywhere with a high percentage of morons on the roads/highways/parking lots who might ding or run into your car. So that excludes almost all of Ontario for me. :sour:
