Obscure model. 1981 AMC Concord - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive sale (craigslist.org)
I wonder as to what he means by "oddly optioned". Perhaps, it has to do with having A/C and no radio?
Yeah, it's got AC and no radio. It does have the original blue plates from 1981 which is cool to see. Definitely a model that did not live or last very long. AMC was in turmoil around this time and the Eagle was just around the corner (almost the same car with 4WD) and we all know what happened to them later.
In my mind's eye I could still picture this car with a "PP&L" (Penna. Power & Light) logo on the front doors like back in the day. But I guess in that case it'd be the other way around with a radio but no A/C.
The Concord was simply a AMC Hornet that went through a very mild styling refresh on the front end, and got renamed at the same time. They did also add a 2-door hatchback model to the mix......
