Nice looking car, last year for the larger than 307ci Olds V8 in this body style. I don't know if the 4-door versions have reached the value of the asking price, but this is a very nice example very well equipped. I don't think I ever noticed that the up market models with the Handles for door pulls, seem to have the places for mounting the down market "straps" on them.

I think these and their Buick counterparts looked better than the Caddys of the era. Optioned up, they have an air of "quiet money" as Mercman Bill would say. Same with a lot of the Grand Marquis vs. Townies of the 80's. Understated elegance.

    I like this Olds, too.

Until I checked the 1980 brochure, I had no idea there were two versions of the factory "pie pan" wheel cover.

If it were mine, I'd get some factory wire covers. The pie pans just look cheapo to me. :slap:

Because they were the cheapo ones ;-)

Personally I hate wire discs, way too wannabe Cadillac which is way too wannabe 1930s ritz-y car.

Just personally don't like how the pie pans look.

I also like the factory Olds 1978 chrome wheels (C), if you could ever find a set.

Nice looking car, Not only does it have those optional wheels, (I don't car for the pie pan or wire wheel covers, heck even dog dish caps with trim rings are a better look IMO) It even has the better looking 3 spoke steering wheel. And no Vinyl top is a big plus to my eyes.
