    These don't bring anywhere remotely close to that. Anywhere. He'll be lucky to get $5K for it.

    I agree it's a great looking car but there is little demand for this type car.
    Still $5000 would be a good buy for a daily driver.

    Agreed. Clean condition, low miles and minimal ownership don't always amount to desirability.

    What's sad is that these ARE really pretty damn nice cars! The '80 models were the second-highest selling R-body, behind the '79 cars, and far ahead of the very scarce '81 models. I owned a '79 NY with all the bells and whistles. Bought the 77K-mile car for $900, drove it for a year before finding the '78 NYBS I wanted, then sold the '79 for $1,600 to a guy who flew in from Indiana, and drove it home with zero problems.
