IMO a comment made on BAT says it best : "a nice example of a bad car". Lived thru this era, had friends who bought Chevy and Pontiac versions of these cars. Worked at a CPA firm who had a Pontiac Dealership as a client who sold these. Everybody had probems with them.

As most of you all know I'm a diehard Oldsmobile guy.....BUT WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING! I had a girlfriend in high school who's mother had a brand spanking new one of THESE. They where a Olds family. (maybe that's why I was going out with there daughter :) Anyway I do remember that THING was always going to the dealership for one thing or another, just goes to show even the great Oldsmobile had a rotten tomatoe!.....Longroofs Rule! But certainly not THESE!

You guys are talking as if the body style was the culprit, when it was GM's poor build quality back then. I would love one of these in a 2-door, with a toasty 455 or even just a 400, dual exhaust, built suspension and 4-wheel disc brakes, it'd be a honey of a cruiser.

Looks like every factory option for one of these to include cornering lamps and fiber optic lamp monitors.
