If he has the provenance to show it was used in GoodFellas and other productions, this would be a double feather in a movie car collector's collection. This should be on eBay for that reason.
That car was never "featured" in Goodfellas, it may have been a background vehicle. "WILL LIKE TO SELL FOR $3950", I like to sell car with rod knock for 4k too. The car isn't worth fixing unless you have a thing for Cadillacs.
The Only two 79's I could find pictures of are these I guess it could be the pink one? But I do not think it was one of the main Characters cars, maybe a background car, who knows.
