This one should have an OLDSMOBILE produced 350 or 403 in it. (y)

From 1977 onward, regardless of the division that designed or produced it, they were all pretty much considered GM corporate engines. I think the major criterion as to which division's engine to use was whether it would meet the applicable emission standards.

It's interesting how GM people feel so strongly about this. Ford and Chrysler were years past the point where there were different engines for their different divisions. Of course, I'm not particularly a GM person, but if I consider a GM car, I would still prefer if it had an engine produced by the division that made the car.

Still, regardless of which engine it has, this is a pretty car at an attractive price. I hope it does have a 350 or better; it'll be happier than with a 301/305/307.

Wish this were closer. Looks great for a 36 yr old. And the price seems right.

It's a great color (at least it looks sort of orange-ish / copper-ish on my 'puter...). would look fantastic with some Olds Super Stock wheels.

I send an email. Want to know if there are any power options. I like the car. Maybe custum cruiserfan can help me out here. We will see.

I suggest someone who's going to use it as a driver buys it. It's in great shape.

Hey, What happened to the Craigslist ad?

The ad has been deleted. That usually means the item has been sold. Hope someone enjoys it.

How long was that finish available? I haven't seen it on that generation of G.M. Wagons post-1979 (yet, at least.) I know some Pontiacs from the 1980s were of a red finish but this one's brighter than that.

This could be its twin from the 1978 Oldsmobile brochure - russet metallic was the name of the paint color.
