No Reserve: 12k-Mile 1978 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency Sedan for sale on BaT Auctions - ending June 19 (Lot #111,015) | Bring a Trailer
I drove a '78 Bonneville for years, these cars are amazingly comfy and quiet, really the perfect commuter car in the pre-FI world. Not so small that it's a hassle to put more than 1 or 2 people and a backpack in, not so big that parking in places is a headache and not overly heavy so fuel economy can top 20MPG without too much trouble. The 2.41 rear end isn't even that bad, especially if you change out the TH350's first gear to give it slightly more off-the-line performance (done on TH400s all the time). They really are one of the best-designed GM car lines ever made.
Yes, a good price for a good car. Agree with elB that these were some of GMS best and this one is a stunner.
