hi all. my 1st post here.
    HELP !

i found the site here while searching the net for parts for my wagon..

i had some bad luck with my wagon. someone decided to break out my rear back window. i was heart broken. my wagon is not the best looking right now
( 1/2 rust 1/2 dust ) but it runs very well.
i really wanna restore it. but i cannot find any wagon window rubbers.
but mainly need another glass.. i have called the local glass shops, and no one has anything.. i really need a new or used glass..
does anyone have a source or know of where i can possibly find one ?
and the misc. parts that holds it on place.
( guides - plastic blocks that attach to the glass )

also any sources that would have the rear window rubbers / seals

i love my old wagon, someone help me save it.. ( restore it too )

WElcome dacflyer. Sounds like you're a wagon nut, just like the rest of us here. I hope someone can help you in your search. I can't stand vandals.

thanks guys.. the window was busted out, but nothing was taken Grrr
even if they wanted to take anything all they had to do was open the door..
i seriously doubt it busted from thermal shock.. i mean the window is over 36 yrs old, it has had plenty of times to fail if that was the case.

I've sent a Private Message to a member who might be able to help with your problem. However he isn't on here every day so I think you might want to post this same request in the General Station Wagon Discussion

    Let's see if this helps:

Metro Moulded Parts has one of the best displays of the weatherstrip and seal cross sections on the internet, so if you have a look at yours (take a picture and check it while you're checking their site:

    http://metrommp.com/

Their Plymouth catalogue does look like its only for their 1970s hot cars, but some of the Fury and larger models are listed - you'll need to know whether yours is a Mopar A, B, C, etc. body type.

Fairchild is a monster corporation, Automotive rubber parts are one of their subsidiaries: You can download their catalogues from here:

    http://www.automotivefairchild.com/resources.html

Steele Rubber also has a nice line of seals and strips. I'd email them once you're ready:

    http://www.steelerubber.com/restoration-parts

Also check out the links on our own site (Stationwagon Directory, at the bottom):
    http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/local_links.php

And... for your entertainment and drooling pleasure:

    Check out his other brochures:
    http://www.lov2xlr8.no/broch1.html

And all the other gorgeous pics of automotive history:
    http://www.lov2xlr8.no/

Hope that helps. Some kids shot my 3 back windows (tailgate and side windows) back in 2002, with a BB Gun. 3 months driving around with plastic. Then I built a 7' fence all around, for only $4,000!!! I know I how feel. :taz: :slap:

well i think i have found me a glass. but in the meantime i was cleaning out the busted glass and the associated parts that attach to it.. i cleaned up most of the parts, they were in different stages of rust, but not too bad.
there is some parts that attach to the sides of the glass..some kind of glides and slides.
one has a damaged spring, and another has chipped plastic on it.

does anyone happen to have a diagram of this rear door/window ? and is there a source for rear window parts ? i am sure other wagons use them also..

guys i need help.. i found a glass but the hard ware i have is not in good order.
i have searched all that i can search and have had no luck to find any window hardware.
i am at the point that i am willing to buy the whole door if i could find one. but it is impossible for me to find any old junk yard outside of my area..can any of you guys help me search ?

the plymouth fury has a 9 hole window, this is what i have..there is 4 sliders on the sides of the glass i need. 2 are solid, and the other 2 are having spring sliders on them,
and the bottom brackets ( regulators? ) the plastic disk spacers are broke.
plus there is some rubber bumpers that protect the glass from slamming around when the door is closed.
i have tried to contact all of the recommended sites, no luck at all for hardware.
i have contacted all the auto glass companies i could think of.. Safelite glass will not even return my calls :(
i really need help, i know there is other cars that used the same door such as the Monaco, and the sport suburban, and a few others.. the grand fury glass wont work, it looks the same size glass and all, but it only has 4 holes, no side glass hardware.
any help is appreciated..i am at a dead end right now...
