Nice car nicely photographed. Hard to see anyone paying $45,000 for it, though.

Great Looking Car, nicely optioned, well photographed, but I can't see them getting 1/2 the asking price for it IMO.

I wanted one of these for years growing up, an example like this 25 years ago was a $1500-2500 car. Even now I agree, I feel it's overpriced. Sure is pretty and nice though!

IMO, it WILL be worth $45k...…… some day. Just not yet.

That, my dear fellow wagon aficionados, is the essence of 'speculation.' "How much can I get out of something that's not nearly worth what I say it is?" and then wait for the fool with too much money and zero common sense.

The big downside to owning such a beauty is - you can't drive it. The main value is it is 43 year old "new" car.

Taking it out on the road with the crazies anywhere would be terrifying and foolish.

But there are those who still do...insured to the hilt, of course.

What was that Music Man song? “The sadder but wiser girl for me!” I would be afraid to drive a 6,400 mile car. Yeah it would be cool to own, and the stories I’m sure are interesting, but a 50-60,000 mile car can look almost as good, and you’re not afraid to drive it, or feel guilty that you’re putting mileage on it. I like to drive them.

Heck I feel guilty putting miles on my F-100. When I bought it from Grandpa it had 51k, since I've owned it I've put 6k on it!
BUT I believe cars (and trucks) were meant to be driven. For me that's where the enjoyment, the real value lies, using it for it's intended purpose. If you aren't going to drive it, even if it is done sparingly, you're doing the vehicle a disservice.

I agree, to a point. A historical or very scarce auto should not be driven much. But when it comes down to it, if you're not getting satisfaction out of your ownership, for Pete's sake, take the time to find someone who will appreciate it and drive it.

I concur. But I would venture to say that this 77 Lincoln, inspite of the fact that it is a beautiful, fantastically maintained survivor, doesn't meet that criteria. The only thing setting this particular car apart from other similar cars really is the low mileage.

I still think this car is fantastic. I would love to have it. I know it's a conundrum when it comes to low mile vehicles. Which is why I am glad I will never be in a position to own one such as this. To drive or not to drive...
It would be a hard decision to make.
