It's not 'glow in the dark,' it's retroreflective. Think 3M reflective safety tape, or any road sign. But it sure is unusual, fairly loaded for that body style. $6K might be a fair price if it doesn't need anything major.

To bad the decals are sunbaked, its the best example of the model I have seen in years though. I always thought it was a shame all the Buick H-bodies were V6 cars. A Buick 350 would have been a great option. About 50lbs lighter than a SBC, and would use the same motor mount location as the Buick 3.8 or 3.2 V6's they did put in them.

If they did that, this model would have ended up even more rare. Owners would have ended up becoming tree wrap, in such pocket rockets.

No worse than the Chevy 305 Powered Monza, Sunbird, or Starfire models. And they would have handles better with the Lighter Buick V8 in them. But I understand the main reason Buick & Olds sold H-Bodies was to get the Average Fuel economy up on the entire range. But the Buick line is the only one that exclusively stuck with the Buick Made V6 Engine. All the other divisions had I4 & V8 options.

I'm thinking the Buick 350 would have run circles around any 305 equipped H-Body and got the driver in much deeper trouble much quicker. FYI, there was 1 Buick 350 built back in the day. Where it is, no one knows. I know my original 1975 Skyhawk 231 V6 would keep up with a 1975 Chevy Laguna S3 400 4bbl. in the mid 70's. He couldn't pull me, I couldn't pull him. Been there "back in the day". It's all about torque, which Buick had in abundance . Horsepower is just a function of torque.

I really wanted one of those NightHawk's. My local dealer (Bob Daniels Buick, Columbus, OH - now closed) had one on the showroom floor. I would have killed for that car.

My Buick 215 Powered 77 Astre Formula can get me into trouble any time I want to, even the little V8 is a nice addition to the H-Body Chassis. Mine puts out over 220hp with 290 ft lbs of torque in a 2500 lb car with 4.11 gears. I surprise a lot of 5.0 Mustangs with it. The new cars with the much bigger HP numbers pull it after 100 feet or so, but I can usually pull them off the line.
The later H-bodies are actually nice drivers for the era, they handle and even stop pretty well as long as the have the vented front disc brakes (all V6 & V8 car, and Cosworth Vega's got the better disc's) and the 76 and later ones have bigger rear drums. I like them, a lot of people can't get over the rust issues they do have, but they really aren't much worse than the average car of the same era. About the same as Japanese cars of the 70's IMO.
