I just saw a 78 Fire Arrow at a Car & Coffee this weekend, with all the decals intact, But it did not have those fancy custom armrests. Actually Automotive Carpentry is an Old Trade, Still practiced at the Morgan Factory I do believe. Common before all steel bodies became the norm sometime in the 1930's. One of the reasons I limit my automotive hobby to post WWII cars, very little structural wood used in them.
Very Hard to find !! 1976 Plymouth Arrow complete with title. 4G52 4cylinder engine with Automatic transmission. Not running condition, but its all there and come with clear title. Needs new fuel pump and carb to get run. Good original interior. The driver's seat needs redone. custom wood arm rest. ( I have one original arm rest ) Original paint, never been hit or repainted. (The paints are good but has faded area.) Very good body with no rust. Yes, it is 73 years old car so it has few small dings and scratches. My idea was put bigger engine, 5sp transmission. but no time and needs space. Woowww..... 73 years old.....Dis person is exceptionally good wid math.... Wunder if their trailer has pink flamingos in front of it..
And now we have a custom wood arm rest on a 73 year old 1976 Plymouth on top of the Ford which "ran well when parked 5 years ago" and the Lincoln which was "unmolested but I am cutting the moonroof out". I'm done. Going out on the lanai and having a double gin and tonic.
