1976 Ford Elite

I usually prefer a pure stock appearance, but these aftermarket wheels look great on this Elite.

When I was a kid I was into cars from the 40's, 50's and 60's but not so much the 70's. They were just used cars then. I have really grown to appreciate them and this is a fine example. I like the look of it with the 5 spoke wheels, it looks very muscular.

 

This car has a styling feature that was popular on Ford vehicles in the 70's - the very wide vinyl-clad side moldings. Sometimes (as here) they were color-matching, sometimes they were in an accent color. For one instance, they were very effective in jazzing up the appearance of a rather plain Granada.

 

Expired. What were they asking for it?

 

If I remember correctly around $4500. Not a bad starting point for it.

 

If in good condition, three even. It would have to be exceptional or have provable mileage less than 75K
