Bidding will be interesting to follow.

Now, if it were a 1976 Caprice wagon in comparable shape, all bets would be off.

I like the Silver with Blue Interior combo, but not the Blue top and Side trim. I would be a much better looking car if it was a HT. But I own a 71 Catalina 4-Door Sedan so I am used to the pillars.

Every time I see a car of this bodystyle I get nostalgic. We had a 75 Impala when I was younger, before we moved back to Washington and before the Fury. I love the looks of this Caprice. I think I would pull the fender skirts if it was mine, but other than that, I can't find one thing I don't like about it.

Believe it or not Jeff, I am going to disagree with you on this one. I think the sedan bodystyle looks much better than the hardtop.

No worries, we can disagree on that, no problem, I do like the looks of a 4-Door HT, But I have run into enough sag issues on rusty examples to avoid them if they show any real rot.

Doors, sills, floor pans. Whatever was able to collect moisture, but not primer during manufacture.

Don't get me wrong, I love many four door hardtops. In a few cases I even like the four door hardtop version better than the two door version. But in some cases, such as this one, I prefer the post version over the hardtop.
    Just personal preference of course.
Besides, if we all loved exactly the same things, it sure would be boring around here. ;)

I almost got my aunt's '70 Impala 2-door hardtop as a 'first' car; I've talked about that on here years ago. And I owned that '70 Delta 88 Holiday Coupe for a couple years. But what I want to say now is that back then, GM's window treatments, at least in 1970, were some very eye-catching designs.

Agreed. But now you know what a really nice, really loaded Caprice will bring when it’s probably the finest example out there.

Yes. But for that price I would want it all. 454 V8, power seat and every other possible option.

Very nice Caprice? Sure - but $30k ?!

(And, yes, I would want the 4-door hardtop - just saying.)

Well, that's the way things have been trending. I am sure it has made someone very happy.
