No doubt it is very nice, but who would pay $39k for a '76 Monte Carlo? https://www.ebay.com/itm/183908022806
Whoa, that is a lot for a 76 Monte Carlo. This could be the best 76 MC left on the planet but seller needs at least 2 people in the auction room who really want it. Good luck.
Restoration with all original parts, and the car is original? I don’t believe his story. Rock under front tire, backend all jacked up, and those funky wheels in that one picture. Doesn’t pass the smell test. Especially for 39 big.
Any Time I see a Car advertised with "0" miles I run away, no such animal exists. I don't car how many new parts were installed to me its still a 100,000 mile (or what ever it accumulated before the resto) car that was restored. I Like the Gauge Package it has, rarely see them, it even has the period "econometer" aka Vacuum gauge. And an odometer showing 00,000.0 Miles. No Tach or Oil pressure gauge. I do not know why Chevy's of the era never seem to get an oil pressure gauge.
Believe it may have been done that way because a light could catch your attention immediately and give you at least a chance to save the engine. Do not know much about GMs of the 70s but our family's Chrysler Corp cars all had the 3 gauges (gas, temp, battery) and oil idiot light. Our current Mustang has an oil pressure gauge and I would like having an emergency oil pressure warning light. P.S : Maybe it does, will have to check.
I'm pretty confident the front license plate didn't come black, it was silver. Also, this engine would have been blue. Overall, the car does have some nice upgrades, along with a nice restore. but 39K? Also, what is so rare about the 4bbl housing?
It is better to block the wheels so you dont get a large Clunk when attempting to get out of park on a steep grade. maybe?
I think that was one of the earlier Studebaker designs of “Hill Holder” it however proved very impractical having to get out of the car and pull it every time the light turned green.
